Undo- A Poem

Take 3 steps forward, and 5 steps back

You had another idiot attack

When all you wish you could do

Was undo

Forget the stupidity

Make right what was wrong

When you undo it

do it right, and get along

Time is precious

Feelings are strained

Hurting those you love

makes your conscience scream in pain

When you’re an idiot

You think its so funny

then you realise ‘I’ve killed it’

You apologise in vain

Undo it all

Lets start it again

Lets redo this take, my dear

and do it right ’til the end

Im feeling quite silly

Now that we’re both broke

But maybe we can understand

Human feelings are no joke

Undo this poor charade

Forget what the past

Remember the right thing

It replays in my head

You can learn so much

From a little mistake

Undoing things ain’t easy

Undo it? You’ll just forget

Don’t forget that we learn from the past

Learn lessons built to last

Become better people

Redoing just undoes that

Undo all this misfortune

Undo all this madness

But don’t forget what you’ve done

Or the pain will come back.
