The March of the Four Seasons
MOVEMENT 1- AUTUMNAL SHIFT
Shatter the green with red, golden leaves fall once more,
Dark Nights come quickly; the heat slowly dissipates.
Feeling relief as the seasons begin their shift,
Earth rotates, tilts away, from the heat of the sun,
Give me the elements of fire and earth in war
As I implore for the seasons to change once more.
AUTUMN: FALL OVER IN THE LEAVES
The coolness of the air and the jumpers I wear bring me joy.
The smell of the leaves as the rain hits them on the ground is sound.
With my girl, I and her eat by the fire, cuddled up and safe.
Hallows Eve festivities bring the child in me back to life.
Thrilled by the fireworks, lighting up the darkness. misery dies.
Ice slowly forms on the cars, and the cold starts to take control.
MOVEMENT 2- FALL BREAKS AND BACK TO WINTER
Like with the changing of the day into the night
Seasons will echo this transforming world of ours
When Christmas departs from the minds and hearts of men
All will be left in the desolate cries of cold
Surviving and coping as the world is killing
What’s left of creatures that roam through the snow so white.
WINTER: BURNING SOUL
Ice is so cold it burns my winter soul;
You can’t leave your home, you my killed soul.
Watching your world freeze and die in the night;
Come to me with your despair filled soul.
Constantly dark and I can’t see your face;
I worry about you in my chilled soul.
Wounded by winter, the tree shows its bones;
Searching for green buds, for my fulfilled soul.
MOVEMENT 3- SOLSTICE
The night of the cold lasts so long and it scares me
Fading darkness as the dawn of the light comes on
Chorus of nature rejoices from its long sleep
Age of Aquarius hath come for me from dreams
Can it be? It is so! Spring blossoms forth once more
Call to you, I implore you to bring life again.
SPRING: SIGNS OF LIFE
The rain of life comes
As the blossom and the rainbows bloom
Children cheer again for sun
Mountains crumble hard
As the icebergs in my heart
Melting for my love
The flowers and the life
Come quickly to the budding flowers attention
Sun has a rose colour
MOVEMENT 4: RISE OF THE GOLDEN HORDE
Have you seen the seasons change from white to rainbow?
From the fiery leaves of autumn to icy winter
To the Spring where the signs of life slowly return
All that is to come and all that has come before
Culminates in the concert of the summertime
All worship the golden horde of the light bringer
SUMMER: IT NEVER LASTS
The light shines on the crystal blue ocean,
Celebrate, my friends! It’s a wild commotion.
The heat melts my ice cream by the searing seaside,
While the swooping seagulls fly and cry for food.
I don’t want summertime to end today
For its been so long since the time you went away
Six weeks is about the time I have to give you love
Then I have to fly away like the purest of the whitest doves
Children sing for the end of the school year
Burning all their books, its a sight, my dear
We all are blessed with the time to relax inside the heat
Though, for some, the fans keep turning into their sleep
No, I don’t want summertime to end today
I guess I’m in denial when I see the leaves falling, and the golden hay,
Soon will be September, the Harvest season is upon me
Though I’ll paddle in a pool, drinking cocktails, sitting in Hawaii.
